Question: When is the best time to send an email campaign?
Answer: There’s no single perfect time.
There are rules and research that can help you narrow your choices down.
Nathan Ellering in a post written for Co-Schedule, looked at 14 different studies. There was lots of information and even a few conflicting opinions, but he was able to boil down the conflicting opinions to come up with a few simple tips to use as starting points.
1. For almost every business, Tuesday is the best day of the week to send an email, followed by Thursday and then Wednesday.
2. For the best results, 10 a.m is the best time to send the email. Surprisingly the next best time slot is 8 p.m. – Midnight followed by 2 p.m., and 6 a.m.
3. Test the best days and times to find out when your audience is most active
Your audience may not follow any of the traditional patterns so test alternative times until you come up with the best results.
